FST-344 (Follistatin 344) is a synthetic 344-amino-acid isoform of follistatin, a naturally occurring glycoprotein that acts as a potent myostatin inhibitor. By binding and neutralizing myostatin and other TGF-β family members (such as activin), it promotes significant increases in skeletal muscle mass, strength, and lean body mass while reducing fat. It has been studied mainly in gene therapy contexts (e.g., AAV-delivered) for muscle-wasting diseases like muscular dystrophy and is popular in experimental/bodybuilding circles for its muscle-building potential.
