Description
ACTH 1-39 is a synthetic adrenocorticotropic hormone fragment used to stimulate the adrenal cortex to secrete cortisol and other hormones, commonly used in clinical diagnosis and treatment of adrenal insufficiency.
Effects
Stimulates the adrenal cortex to release cortisol, aldosterone, and androgens; used in diagnostic tests for adrenocortical insufficiency; adjunctive treatment for certain inflammatory diseases; modulates immune response; promotes lipolysis and gluconeogenesis; maintains energy metabolism under stress.
Usage
According to physician guidance, usually subcutaneous or intramuscular injection daily or every other day. Dosage varies by indication, generally starting from a low dose and gradually adjusting, continuous use not exceeding 2 weeks.
Suitable for
Patients with adrenocortical insufficiency; individuals requiring diagnostic evaluation of adrenocortical function; patients with certain inflammatory diseases (as prescribed by physician).
Not suitable for
Those allergic to any component of this product; patients with severe hypertension; patients with active tuberculosis or severe infections; patients with poorly controlled diabetes; patients with glaucoma; pregnant and breastfeeding women (use with caution).
