Bacteriostatic Water (often called Bac Water) is sterile water that contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol as a preservative. It is designed to inhibit the growth of bacteria, allowing multiple uses from a single vial over a period of time (typically up to 28 days). Bac Water is widely used in medical and research settings to reconstitute (mix) injectable peptides, hormones, growth factors, and medications such as HCG, Sermorelin, or other lyophilized powders. It is not for direct intravenous injection and should not be used in place of sterile water for single-use applications.
