Glutathione
Descripción
Glutathione (GSH) is the body’s primary intracellular antioxidant, composed of glutamic acid, cysteine, and glycine. It plays a key role in neutralizing free radicals, supporting liver Phase II detoxification, regulating immune function, and maintaining cellular health. Studies show glutathione may reduce oxidative stress, enhance NK cell activity, support mitochondrial function, and improve recovery processes. It also inhibits tyrosinase activity, helping regulate melanin production and support skin brightening. Declining glutathione levels are closely associated with aging, chronic disease progression, and reduced detoxification capacity, making it widely used in anti-aging, wellness, recovery, and skin health protocols.
