Research-use disclaimer
All products are strictly for laboratory research and in-vitro studies, not for human consumption.
Description
IGF-1 LR3 is an 83-amino acid synthetic analog of native IGF-1 featuring an arginine substitution at position 3 and a 13-amino acid N-terminal extension. These modifications reduce its binding affinity to IGF-binding proteins by over 100-fold, extending its half-life to approximately 20–30 hours compared to 12–15 minutes for unmodified IGF-1. This results in sustained IGF-1R activation and potent anabolic signaling via PI3K/Akt and MAPK/ERK pathways. Research shows it promotes skeletal muscle hypertrophy and hyperplasia, satellite cell proliferation, enhanced glucose uptake independent of insulin, accelerated wound healing, collagen deposition, and neuroprotective effects. While offering significant benefits for muscle growth, tissue regeneration, and body composition research, potential side effects include hypoglycemia, water retention, injection-site reactions, and theoretical risks of visceromegaly or tumor promotion with prolonged high-dose use. Cyclical administration with glucose monitoring is typically recommended in research settings. This content is for research purposes only and is provided solely for reference.
